Unveiling game-changing wearable tech

Hi everyone ,

I got this by email and I found this invention so amazing.

This demo -- from Pattie Maes' lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry -- was the buzz of TED. It's a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine "Minority Report" and then some.

Watch the video here :

I am a bow in your hands, Lord. Draw me, lest I rot.
Do not overdraw me, Lord. I shall break.
Overdraw me, Lord, and who cares if I break.

WOW!!! That invention is really cool and amazing! :o Not sure if I'd want to wear one of those myself, though.

TED Talks are great, aren't they? http://www.ted.com

Thanx Heba for bringing that TED Sixth Sense video to us.

Having so much information immediately available at one's finger tips is astounding indeed.

However, it could interfere with intelligent thinking, deduction processes, and connection to natural intuitive capacity. In fact it could dumb down those abilities.

It gave me a little shudder to think that anyone could put up mass disinformation about something/one on the net and that would be what a person would then rely on to make decisions. For instance a company could say they have the most ecological brand of toilet paper for multiple reasons like it disintegrates after use, while not disclosing it also has been made from recycled x!*&%$# purified with a toxic chemicals etc.

It seems like the people are becoming more robotized while the robots are becoming more intelligent. The heads of state will probably all wear them when they have their great conclaves with maps that tell them where to go (so lets hope the maps are up to date and accurate) Admitted

Today I was explaining to the Tahirih Group how the Essene's would meditate for years on how to master the forces/energies of heaven and earth through the mind and now to 'think' we don't need minds is mind-blowing! Whatever happened to "I think therefore I Am"?

Seriously, I believe it could be a great tool which could help a lot of situations including emergencies, disasters, and every day life so long as the individuals uses it as a tool or extension of one's mind instead of a replacement of their own powers.

Again, I thank you for mentioning this as it gave me a chance to think about the pros and cons of such an invention and even the possibility of it coming into existence -

Off to create the celestial map for the finger tip game ----Starr*

I agree that sometimes technology makes life more complicated when we rely on it to make simple decisions in our daily life or when we let it think for us.And people will lose their abilities or capablities to do regular things in addition to losing their sense of creativity.

Overdraw me, Lord, and who cares if I break.
